I Am Girl..See Me Style!

Growing up, I was always in moms make-up.  I remember when I was little and she told me that when I turned 12 that I could wear make up.  When I turned 12 I dove into her make up only to really make her mad after a few days.  She finally asked me why I kept getting into her make-up and I reminded her that I was 12.  She loaded me up and took me to the little local drug store and bought my first make up...the palest shades that Almay made.   A few years later in middle school she took me to the department store counter and bought me the whole shebang...Ultima II.  Loved that stuff.  The one thing she never taught me to do well was my hair.

My mother has naturally curly hair and wore it curly most of my life but now wears it straight which to me seems wrong because I have straight hair and spend a good deal of time in the morning with a curling iron in hand trying to get a soft, natural looking, full of body hair do...and I fall flat most of the time.  I don't remember her ever putting my hair in pony tails and I don't ever remember bows as a little girl.  I loved them later and attempted my hair all on my own.

Tonight I discovered the most fantastic blog that shows me (and you) how to do short to medium length hair and it look GOOD!  I'm so excited about this blog.

This is Kate.
Isn't she adorable?
Don't you love her hair?
Here is her blog...
It's The Small Things.
This is a few of my favorite posts...

How to Wear a Headband and Not Look Like an 8 year old!  BRILLIANT!

My hair is thinner than it used to be so all her trick and styling suggestions for volume are right up my alley.

The other most astonishing thing I have decided to do not only involves make-up but the best skin care I have loved for years.... check it out here.
Yes!  I get to sell this amazing stuff too.

I have gone girl again!  No more schlumpy mommy in sweat pants and a pony tail with not even a hint of mascara...I have for the last month or so resolved that if I'm not in my workout clothes for good reason and sweating; then I will then be a pulled together, with great hair and fresh face...ME!

Are you feeling me?  After being a stay at home mom for 9 years, it's time to take care of me too.
