About Lil Ol'Me
I am a wife to my high school sweet heart and the man of my dreams. I am Momma to 3 boys who are the light of my life and 1 on the way (by way of adoption). They are my little superheroes, my Little's and my Little Bits. A cape is worn by someone everyday in our house. They make me smile, keep me busy, love me, hug me. I am humbled by their love. I am a warrior for Christ and LOVE Him above all else. I do my best to be His hands and feet to those in need. I am a long time crafter with a sewing niche, organizer, nester, health nut, baker, reader, teacher, student, thrift store shopper and lover of giving old things a new purpose. I do dream of having a little girl someday but it would take a miracle of our Father at this point.
Interests
I love to read and I love to serve and I love to run. I love to clean and organize when time allows. I love servicing my church and helping others. I love to exercise, especially a nice slow run in the park for hours. I love being a WAHM check out the "AdvoCare" link. I tried teaching again and found it wasn't quite for me...or for me at all. I like coasting on my bicycle and filling it's baskets with goodies that I collect on the ride. I love to lift! Building muscle is cool, if I have time. I'm interested in people and love to follow people that are passionate about the same things I am. I believe we are all connected and how we treat each other always comes back to us.
Favorite Movies
I LOVE movies but I don't like anything violent or anything that involves harm to children. Our world is bad enough that I don't need to see it on the big screen. I want to watch movies that reflect the positive side of life. Maybe I do live in a bubble sometimes but I choose too. That being said I LOVE "Legends of the Fall", "Barefoot in the Park", and "The Wedding Singer."
Favorite Music
I love to listen to Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, and several little known artists that I find. I'm not big into music but what I listen to must be enjoyed, peaceful, clean, and good for my soul. I do love singing praises to my Father. I love singing at church and I love listening to Christian artists. That's just the way I am.
Favorite Books
I'm starting to sound corny but I love reading my Bible. In the last year of my life it's opened up so much for me and is helping me get through so much. I also loved the The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by MaryAnn Shaffer. I'm currently loving The Resolution, and lots of Leadership books by John Maxwell.
Have come across your site purely by search engine accident and am so impressed. Am very new to sewing and your designs and patterns are enchanting. Thanks so much for posting these and your tutorials. It is a lovely site to come across!

It's not corny to enjoy your Bible! You will never regret the time you spend there! I hope the Lord continues to allow you to pan for gold in His Word!
ReplyDeleteYour a busy girl!!! What are you studying in grad school? I agree I don't want to watch a movie that is going to bring me down there is enough in life to do that why watch a movie about?! I wanted to be uplifted when I watch something like Courageous or Alabama Moon or the Blind side, I wish more movies were made like that! I really like a christian group called The Lower Lights My total fave! Sorry for such a long comment but it's just nice to resonate with someone on these topics :) Great blog!
