Taste the Rainbow...Happy Saint Patty's Day.

I saw this idea a while back with a cake so I thought I'd give it a try with cupcakes.  It's really hard to get it all to come out right but you just have to go easy on the layers and it all works out...

I use icing color for a really, really rich color.  Using 6 glass cups, I seperated my cake mix into 6 separate containers and added all the classic rainbow colors...
while singing...Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple...

Aren't they fabulous?

Just spoon a 1/2 tablespoon of each color into the cupcake cups, one layer right on top of the next.  It comes out alot nicer than the jello did. :)

We all starred in awe at my psychedelic looking cupcakes.

Then we opened one up!

My friend Jenny had more fun eating the colorful creation than actually tasting it I think.

See!

She was so amazed with each bite!  So, was I!

Now! You can lick your computer screen!

I think Jake found his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
YUM!

Ooo and check out the color of the paper after wards too!

  10. You can use Kool-Aid to color and flavor white cake mix and vanilla icing.
