Our photo shoot!

It's that time of year again...time to get those Christmas cards in the mail.  I am determined to get mine out before New Years.  ha!   We had fun today during our photo shoot.  I really need to figure out how to get my oldest to relax though.  I had envisioned this door in a field that could lead to anywhere, kind of like out of a movie when there is a lone door and you don't know where you'll end up if you step through it.  Of course on the other side of this door is my husband.  ; 0 )

My Alternative Christmas Tree Project

Every year I hang ornaments with filament string,  I usually hang them from my kitchen chandelier.  This year I improvised so that I could design one in the shape of a Christmas tree.  I have seen similar trees on Pinterest and found one that was similar to the one I have been dreaming of.  I used a slightly different approach than the one I found but I love the way it turned out.  My husband and I are devising a plan to make one next year that is as big as our regular tree, suspended above the ground and hopefully also with lighting.  Here is the link to the original idea.   Hers is much taller than mine because her ornaments are much more spread out and I love that too.
