Featured Blogger: Pink Lemonade

When you think of a business owner or entrepreneur you don't think of a person under the age of 18.  You might not ever imagine the owner would be 14 years old.  Paige form Pink Lemonade is going to be force to be reckoned with.  Many of us girls may have a creative bone or two but this girl is completely creative inside and out, probably every bone in her body and has started her own business at the age of 14.

Paige has the most amazing little Etsy Shoppe and the contents within are about as beautiful as they come.  They are vintage, chic, girly and modern all at the same time.

See what I mean.  How completely adorable are the rosettes.  She doesn't have a tutorial on her blog, so I'm going to beg her to do one.  At least to show a technique or two.  She's got such a variety in her creative palette she probably wouldn't be able to do them all for a while.

In her etsy store you'll find jewelry, baby items, accessories, women's tops and other clothing.  Below is an accessory that I would love to have.

Paige is going to be so generous as to knock 15% off any purchase from HomeSpun-Thread readers if you mention "Blog Feature" in the comment box at checkout.

After you visit her etsy shop, visit her blog and check out this awesome tutorial on how to make a Ruffled Cardigan.

Any Home School Moms Out There???

This past spring my heart told me that it was for my family that I home school our children.  It has as much to do with the fact that I know I can do better by them as it has to do with our Faith.  I've found over the last few months that God has been calling me to be home with my babies until he says stop.

In previous years I would have been the first to say homeschooling wasn't for me.  I can't tell you what has changed but I need advice.  So, I'm treating this post like one of those "baby shower" games where you give the "new mom" mothering advice.  I need advice.  What steps to take, what is important when it comes to anything, groups for my kids, etc.

So, the comments are open for anyone that supports this venture and decision.  I've already decided it is something I am going to do for my boys so there is no need to try to persuade me not too.  So, please home school moms unite and help a momma out.

Checkout this....cause I need some advice!

So, I LOVE trips to Wal-Mart.  They are the highlight of my shopping experience.
(note my sarcasm please).

Picture me at Wal-Mart with my husband and 3 boys.  All we are buying is 3 packs of Kool-aid squeezes.  I am in line with all 4 boys, they are being good, including my husband.

Evan starts to run over to this really cool quarter machine that makes your money do tricks and you get nothing in return.  He just wants to look, Cooper takes off after him...a whole 3 feet away, so that he can boss Evan around.

Checkout Lady at Wal-Mart:  "Did you see the look he (Cooper) gave that little one (Evan)?

Me: "No." and Jake runs around to see too.  James is right behind them.
Checkout Lady at Wal-Mart: "OH, and there's ANOTHER ONE!  Girl, you've got to put a stop to that."
(Meaning, I should NOT have anymore kids. Seriously, that's what she meant.)

Me: "Don't worry!"
(I manged to make my lip bleed trying not to bite her head off.)

Isn't it wonderful that checkout ladies know so much about family planning!?

I love my 3 sons!

So, the next time someone says something like that, what should I say?
Give me some good ones please.
They are going in my "book".

Your friend in Christ,
