I Love this Back-a-pack!

on a crazy note just for the sake that my hair feels good today.

I have a new love for my curling iron.  My thin hair looks so thick thicker.  It's a trick my old stylist taught me by starting at the root and rolling the curling iron while the ends of my hair slide in as I roll.  Cute I think?  Right?

So then when I got ready to clean today, I could NOT find my claw clips thingys so I thought I'd try my Bobby Pins.

What do you think?  Is it going to work?  I'm thinking they (bobby pins) should make a come back!

I love updo's!

Repost: A folded Valentine!

I've been thinking about Love today...see the post below this one!
Enjoy!

I found these on Martha Stewart and thought I could do a better job of her instructions...maybe! After you make a few and figure them out they are super quick and easy. I used a 4" wide ruler and 12" square papers. That made it easier. I'd watched one lady measure and fold and it took longer than what I ended up doing. Try it! We are putting either stickers or Valentine Tatoo's in these with a little card and poem.

Are your kids this funny???

DIY Delectable Chocolates for your Lover this Valentines Day!

Easy chocolate treats for your honey bunches this Valentines.  I'm getting an early start this year to encourage you a bit earlier as well.

Start with your centers...

Caramel on a Vanilla Fudge Cloud Center
4 T. butter
2 c. mini marshmallows
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. powdered sugar
1-3 tsp. milk
In a medium saucepan, bring butter to a boil over extremely high heat. Do not stir. Allow butter to boil just until it takes on a medium brown hue (you want to brown it, not scorch it!). Once browned, immediately add marshmallows to the pan and stir, stir, stir while they swell and become sticky. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, powdered sugar and 1 tsp. of the milk. Now start to beat it with your electric mixer. Add milk as needed. The consistency should be thick and sticky.  Pour and scrap into a square class dish 9 x9 is what I use.  Refrigerate until hard.

Remove from refrigerator and work fast while hard.  cut 1" squares from your pan of hard creamy filling.  Remove squares one by one, roll into a ball and place on a sheet or wax paper.  While you are rolling balls, melt your chocolate.

Melt your chocolate until it is a runny consistency, not too thick.
I use the chocolate chips that come in the microwaveable paper bowls from the fresh fruit section of the grocery store.  It's easy and quick.

Dip your balls of stiff goo into the chocolate and remove.  Place on a the sheet of wax paper.  As your chocolate hardens you can sprinkle with pulverized pecans or drizzle with white chocolate or leave plain.

These make up really fast and are fun to give.  Package in a cutie pie box and give away.

After the centers have return to room temp, watch out because they'll melt in your mouth.  Yumm!

We love doing these snowflake!

I had to make myself stop!
School starts back soon for many kids and it would be a shame to let them go back without giving a few of these and other great projects a try.

A letter to me, myself and I

Dear Aimee,

I haven't spent much time lately keeping in touch with you and I'm so sorry and ashamed.  I have not been a good friend and I promise that in the future you will hear from me more often.  It seems that lately I have had to do a reality check on my priorities and I have found that they are all out of whack.  So, I promise that from now on I'll be spending more time with our Father, more time in his Word, more time praying for my friends and family, more time taking care for my duties.  I've spent way too much time neglecting my home, my husband, my children, and my church.  None is worse than the other but it's just sad to say.

I have truly missed my personal time and I have more being added to my hectic life this week.  I am starting back to school and I'm not sure that I even have all my ducks in a row.  I can't imagine  how I'm going to be able to do it all but it's going to have to be done.  If I could give myself one gift today, it would be the gift of time.  There is simply never enough.  I might have to throw in a little extra energy along with it but all in all I have not been doing what I have intentions of doing.

So, I'm asking that you help me.  That you help me stay focused, spend less time on facebook, on other blogs, and help me to spend my time much more wisely.  Please don't forget to pray for me.  The things I need from God today are not material in any way.  They are things that are supposed to be found within me all the time and on some days I feel like some might be missing...I need to be sure that when I pray I'm always asking for peace, joy, happiness, wisdom, strength, faith, gentleness, and goodness.

Please take the time to take care of yourself too.  In order to grow old with your husband and family, you'll need to do much better.  Get your exercise, watch what you eat, take your medicine and all that important stuff.  You, like I keep forgetting that we only have 1 body.  Just ONE!  We don't get a new one until we die so take care.

So, in the next few months, I'm going to do better.  I'm going to change the way I've been living lately and put my priorities back in order.

Graciously as your friend,
Aimee
Your friend in Christ,
