Bath Bombs!

Have you ever wanted to make these things?
I had no idea they were SO easy!
I imagine you could use just about anything for molds too.
Ice Cube trays?
Those plastic containers 25 cent toys come in?
What about muffin tins?
So here's how to do it!
Get this stuff
Parchment paper Large mixing bowl 1/2 cup citric acid 1 cup baking soda Whisk or fork 15 drops/15 drops of two essential oils that you choose.
2–3 tablespoons witch hazel in a spray bottle 1 large plastic ice cube tray
Do This To It!
Step 1: Lay out a sheet of parchment paper on the counter. In a large bowl, add the citric acid and baking soda, using a whisk or fork to mix thoroughly. Sprinkle essential oil into the mixture and mix again, making sure to evenly distribute the essential oil through the powder. Doesn’t it smell divine?
Step 2: Spray the witch hazel into the mixture with one hand. With the other hand, continue to mix the contents of the bowl. You’ll feel the powder starting to get damp after several minutes. Spritz witch hazel into the mixture until it starts to clump. When you can clump the mixture in your fist, pack it tightly into a plastic ice cube tray (earmark a tray just for bath-bomb making). Work quickly as the witch hazel is already evaporating.
Step 3: Pack your mixture tightly into your ice cube tray and allow to dry slightly. Let your bath bombs dry slightly, then slightly twist the ice cube tray to pop them out on parchment paper. Let them dry completely, and whatever you do, keep them away from water until ready to use.
Step 4: Pop out your mixture from the mold.
Step 5: Store them in a plastic container, seal them in baggies, or wrap each one in acetate to give as gifts.
There are tons more ways to do these but this one was my favorite and I loved doing them.
Thanks to craftstylish.com for some great ideas.

The Athlete in Me!

So on this episode...
I'm laying in bed and I keep thinking of what it used to feel like to RUN.
I don't mean struggling to run, I mean like it was a natural thing, like a deer.
When I was growing up I had fields and fields and miles of nature to run in, climb, crawl through, lay in...
So, I'm laying in bed remembering the feeling of running with ease.  Wondering if I'll ever feel that again.
As I child anything atheletic was appealing.  I always wanted to be the one that could run the fastest, hang on the pull up bar the longest, stretch the farthest.  I wanted to do it all and do it the best.  And there were times when I did.  So now what?  What am I going to do to feel this way again?
In my Dreams I...
 dance
 fly
 run
 float
 twirl
 skip
flip
and
more
I do, I dream these things.
So, what do I have to do to feel these things for real.  I have to start moving my body and working towards these things.  See, my theory is simple and I think it HAS to work.
If I want to run, I run.
If I want to flip, I flip.
If I want to twirl, I twirl.
So if my theory is correct, I need to...
go to the Yoga Class
go to the Pilates Class
hop on the Treadmill
hop on the Eliptical
stretch
jump in the pool
and
PRAISE GOD!
when I get the opportunity to do any of these things I dream about.
Now eat greens, eat reds, eat some yellows, eat some beautiful God given food.
Eat the things that have been raised up by someones hands.
Eat the veggies, eat the raw breads, eat the freshest fruits.
You know, now those Mozzerella Sticks don't sound so good.
Now, sleeping late doesn't sound so appealing.
Now, Taco Bell just sounds gross!
Right!
So here's the Skinny to get me Fit!
I'm weighing in this morning at
226.4 pounds!
OMGoodness, Right!
Here's my goal
125 pds!
How much to I have to lose?
101.4 Pounds!
How much time?
1 Year
So, that's less than 2 pounds a week.
SO DOABLE!
Are you with me?
Huh?
ARE YOU?
p.s.  I promise ALL my posts won't be about this...I do have things I have to do.  So, it'll probably be once a week, let's say EVERY FRIDAY!  I'll post progress, I'll looking for a progress bar so hang with me ladies.

Happy New Year 2009!

You know from year to year, I can never remember what I did New Years.  I remember 2000's (9 years ago), I remember the New Years before we conceived Evan.  Cooper was 2 and we stayed at my parents cabin and I fell asleep putting Cooper to sleep and the one thing I wanted was another baby SO badly.  I remember last year because we went to our new friends Guy and Keisha's house.
Yay!  I love them!
I closed my business and finished it up as best I could and then....
Cooper turned 6 and had his Uncle Bruce come dressed in costume to his "Feista Party".
Cooper survived Kindergarten....So, thankful for 1st Grade!
My Baby turned 1.
I directed our VBS, what a blessing!
Evan was officially potty trained at some point!
We went on our First Family Vacation as a whole!
Cooper stayed in the Water the WHOLE time. except to sleep and eat.
My nephew Landon was born.
Evan turned 3!
Lesley Lou got married!
Evan waited for and rode his first school bus! : (
I'll put in more later...

Awe! Had too share this one!

As soon as I saw it was I like...that's what I've been asking for!!!

We have a play room with "dog house" windows. And my son has room in his bedroom closet for this...WOW OOO! He'd have a built in Chest of Drawers and think of the organization and storage. I saw this in an e-mail from Better Homes and Gardens ( I just love them).
I actually already do this one.  My youngest sons changing table IS a kitchen island.
It cost lest because it was on sale and it had TONS of storage.  His has two doors on the side and open shelving down the middle.  Throw on changing pad and add a small medicine cabinet above.  No wonder I love this stuff.  I would also love to have that $500 worth for toy car and cart.
Even though I have 3 boys, I've always wanted them to have their own kitchen sit and this would be PERFECT.  This is something I could do using kitchen cabinets.  This would be awesome for Christmas next year.
Did I mention that wall color is my NEW FAVORITE.
I've been saying for a month, I want to paint it blue, a really fun blue!
This one is going to be my project for the YEAR!
I'll probably start with the painting FIRST!
Now I'm e-mailing my husband this photo's.
Visit BHG's they ROCK!
Your friend in Christ,
