I am so sad to say that last Wednesday evening just a few miles south of my home, our little town was devastated by a EF4 Tornado. Our community is pulling together to help one another. Many lives were lost, countless homes have been destroyed. Our lives will never be the same. Please send prayers up for the town of Ringgold, GA and the surrounding area. Alabama was hit equally if not additionally hard. I can not even express in words the sadness and devastation. Here is a glimpse...
Aimee, so sorry for your town's loss... I am originally from Texas, now live in Ohio, but have so many relatives in MS, AL, and LA, and our prayers have been with everyone in the South through this time of devastation. Know that many believers are lifting y'all up across the nation as you try to comfort one another and rebuild your town. You're not standing alone. The Body of Christ is praying for y'all across the nation! Such a perfect song in such a hard time, because even in the midst of such destruction, God is at work doing some amazing things, and y'all will get to witness His power firsthand.
ReplyDeleteWe have been watching the pictures of the devastation in unbelief. We have been keeping the South in our prayers, and will include you and your family specifically. Hoping that miracles come your way.
ReplyDeleteMore devastation from Mother Nature. Blessings to you and all those who are trying to cope at this time.
ReplyDeleteAimee, I had no idea how close you were to the tornado devastation. I have been keeping the South and folks who live there in my prayers since we first saw the news reports of what was happening. I will definitely keep your city and family specifically, in my prayers. I'm so thankful you are safe, but I can only imagine how sad and scared you must be feeling right now. I am grateful that you are in God's hands.
ReplyDeleteSending {{hugs}} and prayers to you. Living in Christchurch which has recently been devastated by 5 months of earthquakes, we know what it feels to have the familiar disappear in an instant. I pray that God will strengthen you all to be strong for each other. Kia Kaha (Be strong)

Dear Aimee, I'm from Sri Lanka. We also suffered from dreadful earthslips and torrential rains last December and many people lost their lives and many more were left homeless. I know how it is to be unsure of your very existence. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your community. Dhilma
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe how quickly life can change - I'm glad to hear you're alright, and able to reach out to neighbors.
