Weight Watchers? Anyone? Anyone?

Since I pretty much share everything with my readers, I thought I might share that I sucked it up and joined Weight Watchers Online yesterday.

All the running and working out in the world isn't doing me good without some kind of accountability with my diet and support.  I see pictures of myself all the time that I'm not happy about.  I usually only share the decent ones.  Then I saw this one of me and my baby a few nights ago and thought to myself..."Really, I'm going to let myself be unhealthy and not enjoy more moments like these?"  No!  I'm tired of struggling so now, on top of the exercise that I've been slacking off on the last two weeks and this new accountability and guidance I hope that I can start achieving my goals.  Anyone else out there do Weight Watchers?  Need support?  I'm thinking we should all link up if so.

  2. I have been doing weight watchers since January. I was doign it online. I am now forcing myself to go to meetings every week. It makes a HUGE difference. HUGE. And dont just track your points online. Get one of the snazzy three month trackers. They fit in your purse and make you more accountable. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoo

  3. Oh, forgot to mention that I left your blog on this past Sunday while we were getting dressed and my husband asked what radio station i had turned on, he said the music was just what we needed to get the day started just right. Thanks!

  4. weight watchers on line is a great tool. I've used it the last year, and although I've had some health issues it has kept me from gaining, which if I can't be losing than I definitely don't want to gain. Good luck in your journey.

  5. That's amazing. Thank you for sharing that. I like to leave it on too while I'm at home cleaning. It's just good music for the soul. Thanks for sharing that with me. I always worry that the music is too much.

  7. I subscribe to WW online and have had great success in losing weight. I have more to lose but am excited that the scale is moving down. Like you, I don't really share pix of myself because I don't like the way I look now. But that's all changing...

Make sure you track your points, drink your water, take a vitamin every day and cook with the WW recipes.

    Good luck!

  8. I have done WW twice now. And again its time to do it again. How different is it doing it online than going to local meetings. My problem is I love to eat!

  9. Anyone up for trying a better way of eating instead of a diet? I am 3 months in after my 3rd child (3 under 3 for another month). I am in need of fixing my eating for my health and for my family.

  10. Hey, Aimee! I'm not doing WW, but I'm definitely up for linking up for some accountability. i am certain that my little ones are going to think I wasn't around for their early life b/c I've only been in maybe 5 pictures since they were born (and they are 5 and 2!). Would love to be support and get some... =)

  11. I am on WW now. I just started. I'd love to do it together and be part of a support system! I'm the same way - I want to be healthy for my kids!

  12. I actually just cancelled my ww online subscription. It's a great site, and I did well on it. I like SparkPeople better, it's free and I feel it focuses more on whole wellness and not just weight loss.

  15. not on ww, however what's working for me is moving, yes moving....i begin walkingon the treadmill 3-times a day....1-mile morning noon evening = 3-miles.....so now i've started walking in the morning 2-miles to jump start my day and watch my joyce meyers....then lunch 1.5 listening to 106.9, teachings of God's Word/ God's Praise Music and evening 1.5 to spend time in Prayer, yes wonderful time to Pray and spend time with our Lord as My God is showing how to get my 5-miles in a day and to spend time with him.....and just watching my portion size and NOT eating after 5pm....instead of the dinner plate, i started using the divided plate to help me to portion my size out....it is called determination and within if you are willing to go the extra mile to be healthy so you can help others....yes....they are going to be a time people will need our help and if we are not healthy, how can we be of good stewards and help others....

  16. I'm on WW - I'm a returning lifetime member! I originally lost 40 pounds and then have been back 2x (after each of my pregnancies) and lost the baby weight (well, most of it!) that way. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago and finished treatment 1 year ago (I'm currently all clear - thanks to my heavenly Father and a great team of doctors). I have lost 9 of the 'cancer treatment' pounds and have 9 more to go! Tracking and accountability are the most important things for me to be succesful - I go to meetings because the on-line thing just didn't work for me! Follow the program, give yourself grace when you have a bad week, know this is a long term thing and is about changing the way you eat not just a 'diet' and you will be succesful! Thanks to Melissacduran for posting the link to skinnytaste.com - it looks like a great site. Yes - go get yourself one fo the 3 month tracking books - I love mine - it's a great way to keep a log of low point snacks and meals that helped in past weeks. Keep us posted! God Bless

  17. I'm doing ww again. For the second time. I did really well on it the first time and then fell of the wagon and now 2 yrs later....i'm getting back on it! I'm excited. I love it because nothing is off limits. Its mainly just portion control. And I love that you get extra points through the week. I normally save them for if I know I am going out one night and don't want to have to really watch what im eating for that one night.

  18. yes! I joined 3 weeks ago and started exercising 4x a week. I have lost 3 lbs so far, so it is working.
I would love to have some support from other Christian ladies out there doing the same.
I have done WW in the past and really been successful, but you know how life goes - you have a baby, you get a new job, etc etc and the weight comes back on.
So now I am working on getting rid of those extra pounds again, and being healthier and moving more.
Could we create a forum board or a FB page or a common place for us to share our challenges, offer advice, recipes, etc?
that would be so awesome for me since I am doing this alone.

  19. HI! I love your blog! It is so creative and I am a Christian home school mama too. I have 4 little ones. I love diet and nutrition and fitness. I have a blog at www.apronsandapples.blogspot.com and I do a lot of crafty, home decor, and fitness and nutrition and home management stuff. But I wanted to say that I am not in weight watchers but I have a degree in the science of Natural health and LOVE LOVE to help people get the weight off and find info on nutrition, fitness etc.. I have a great FREE diet and exercise journal on my blog you can print off (and have bound for about a dollar at any copy store) that should be a great help. I also have a link to some healthy meal plans, and recipes and an article on natural sweeteners and some info about artificial ones. I am PASSIONATE about health and fitness and would love to share with anyone interested! The diet journal is here at http://apronsandapples.blogspot.com/search/label/health%20and%20fitness Hope to hear from some of you to encourage you on your journey! Love to answer any questions I can! Have a good one! Kristy

  20. I've done WW (this time around) since January. I LOVE it! I think the new program is so much easier to follow and I really feel like I have learned a lot about myself. My key has been finding a teacher who inspires me. Way to go joining WW! Sometimes it is hard to join, but then you will see your confidence go up.

I am going to be starting WW again in about a week, after the birth of my 7th baby.  I have a blog in which I am going to be posting weekly on Wednesdays and hopefully having others comment on their progress as a support system.  Feel free to come on over!  amothersheritage.com
