Here is the boys room in the making!  Last year we painted stripes on the wall with a few of my favorite color for boys.  Dirt, Blue Jean and Moss!  The other night, my husband decided to FINALLY put up the bunk bed.  It's a hovering bunk bed, suspended from the wall...if you want details...leave a comment and I'll get measurements, materials and instructions.  We cut the ladder from an existing piece of plywood.  It's been sanded to smooth all rough edges.  I'm going to paint it brown like the walls and paint the bed to match the stripe it's level with.  Here's where I need help!
Doesn't that wall look bare?  Doesn't the underneath of the bed look blah? What should I do?
I have a few things I could use.  I have an old door like my sewing table.  I also have an old window painted the moss green.  Oh and that cord at the night stand is going to drive me crazy.  James is going to build a base for the full size bed to sit on.  I'm thinking of getting oversize caster wheels and some cool storage on caster wheels to go under neath.  That'll raise the bottom full size bed up.  Any ideas?

  2. How about a square of chalboard paint with a frame hung over it or painted around so the boys can draw? Perhaps?

  3. I love names on the wall, you could do them on canvases with elements from the theme of the room or buy the white letters and paint them.

  5. So far, I love it. I am thinking perhaps a shelf that stretches from the ladder to the wall? You could paint it the moss color. Or maybe some squares painted with the moss that kind of mimic the squares in the ladder? I also really like the idea with the chalkboard paint (although I guess that could be messy right above your little guys bed).
